MISSION STATEMENT

 Composed of five members serving appointed three-year terms, the Conservation Commission is responsible for administering the Wetland Protect Act (Ch.131 S40) and the Millville Wetland Protection Bylaw. The Commission issues permits for activities in and near wetlands, floodplains, banks, river front areas, vernal pools and surface water. The Commission is the official agency charged with the protection of the community’s natural resources and management of town owned Conservation Land. The Commission also advises other town boards and officials on conservation issues that relate to their area of responsibility. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM, at the Longfellow Municipal Center .
